"As soon as the news that Greeley and Brown had been nominated was received, bunting was unfurled from every flag-staff on the City Hall.
In the City Hall Park was displayed a large banner, bearing the inscription: `Tammany Responds to the Nominations of the National Conven-
tion at Baltimore.
